Kimberly Lawrence

Kimberly Lawrence is a children’s book author with a little Southern soul, West Coast flavor, and Midwest love! Born in El Dorado, Arkansas, and raised in San Francisco, California, and St. Louis, Missouri, she brings a colorful blend of culture, family, and life experiences to every story she writes.

 

A proud alumna of Grambling State University and devoted member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Kimberly has earned many titles, but her favorites will always be Mom and Mimi.

 

Her stories are filled with Black joy, big laughs, family love, and a whole lot of personality. Kimberly creates uplifting stories that celebrate children and encourage every young reader to feel valued, dream BIG, embrace who they are, and shine brightly.
